Eric Glauber

Eric Glauber has been doing theatre for years now, with practice in acting, directing, and sound design. He has an interest in making theatre from scratch, creating something from the ground up with no real plan or expectation for what the end result may be. His credits include but are not limited to appearing in plays such as All New People and Suburbia, both performed on New Paltz campus, directing scenes for SUNY New Paltz’s Fresh Act, and designing shows such as Crimes of The Heart and the New Play Festival, performed on SUNY New Paltz Campus as well. Eric hopes to continue his love and drive to create new theatre and continually finding new and inventive ways that theatre can be presented, constructed, and performed.

Starting out as a performer but moving on to focus more on directing and with an interest in costumes, she has been involved in several components of theatre and has touched nearly every main stage production at New Paltz as well as student productions one way or another since her arrival. Once she got a taste of devised theatre, she could not get enough and knew it was something she wanted to continue as it gives her a chance to use the different elements of theatre she has learned about and bring them together. Her inspirations are companies such as Complicité and individuals such as writers/actresses Tina Fey and Mindy Kaling.
